In Absentia

So. Getting into the "zone", getting back into writing, is just hard. So hard that I haven't even tried. I have a some sor tof mental/emotional block with even making the attempt. All the elements are there, though, so I know it will be soon that IO am back behind the keys mangling the innocent minds that agree to read my stuff. All the elements: I'm coming up with ideas left and right, little scenes, and wanting to revisit set-aside ideas. I'm typing fairly swiftly, which is usually a sign the my brain is readying itself to belch forth another twisted chunk of malformed writing.

I've been mainly just hanging on the phone with Shri, trying to talk with her through this whole house thing that's been trying to destroy her mind. Now, it's just the little things, like final organization, and the cat vomit, that are after her. Finished Baldur's Gate II and have now moved on to tackling FFX. Was trying to finish Legend of Dragoon but there's something wrong with this slimline PS2, in that it wants to hang on all the cutscenes and betweeen screens. I beat Lenus like ten times in a row and still can't get the game to get past the hang right after the EXP is awarded.

I'm still terribly tempted to try and poison Shri's mind with D&D. Not gonna do it yet, though, lol.

Lots of fun at work, oh yeah. Not.

I can't wait till I see my girl again.

I haven't been really able to get myself to keep up with much. I lurk here, check my email (you know, you have to send email if you want to get email. that's just the way of it, it seems), and think about calling people but just don't. I save all my phone time for Shri. I haven't done much with the whole housekeeping thing.

They've stuck two notices on my door, one for Thursday and one for yesterday, saying that the management would be stopping by all the apartments to inspect for hurricane damage. I picked up my stuff and all that and still no one came by--which is good, because there are some aspects of my stuff that I didn't pick up. Blah blah blah.

I have been having some terrible moments with distraction. i can't seem to get my mind together. I keep setting things up in my head that I want to get done and then I keep not doing them, and not because I don't want to get them done,. or out of general laziness, but just because they seem to be simply "for later".

If not now, friends, when? If not me, who?

Or something.

Any-fucking-way. Also keep noodling with music. But can't seem to focus the brains on anything argh argh argh what the fuck is wrong with the brains?

So anyway, again. Gonna get off of heree and get back to whatever it is that I think it is that I was gonna do, and really just play FF and wait till time to call Shri.

Also meant to say that I have been reading a bit as well. Finished reading Zelazny's Amber series to Shri and am waiting to get the book that has the related short stories in it. Finished Dark Furies, and am working through something liliblackswan sent me a while back that I uncovered while shifting some papers around looking for something else. Shit just slips my mind sometimes. Thank God I wasn't proofing it or anything important, ya know?

Also was working on a sequel shot to the Dunkindonuts/RE crossover photoshops. Am trying to think of good ideas for tee shirts.

Who would buy and wear one that said "Free Phil Rancid" on it, I wonder, besides me?

Had meant to write something for Halloween. Didn't. Got over it.

Drank coffee. Ate souls. Got gas.

Speaking of gas, I think that gaslines will never be the same for a certain hot little Kansas lady. I just put that out there to make people wonder. Mwaha.

I should get my fourtrack back out.

I shoudl get on the stick with my creative little projects.
